Ideas to play role in the group of team
I am recruited as team leader in a team. I am little bit nervous now. I feel pressure on letting the work be done by people. What is the best technique to adopt.

Hi Chayan! Leading a team is very different from being an excellent individual contributor, but many people are promoted into positions of leadership without any training on what to do differently. Perhaps you are feeling some of that!
Good leadership is complicated, and there is no one thing or technique that acts as a magic bullet to solve all problems. I believe that the primary goal of a team leader should be the success of the team, and that means different things in different situations. As a team leader, you probably have responsibility with very little authority - you're not anyone's boss, so you have to incentivize people through inspiration and competence!
- trust your high performers to get the job done without constantly looking over their shoulder
- work with people who have challenges to ensure they can contribute to the best of their ability
- regularly engage with upper management to ensure expectations are realistic (or, when unrealistic, at least understood!) and required resources are provided
Be quick to praise others and relucatant to take credit for yourself - if your team does well, you already look good!
Never be shy about communicating expectations - up the management chain or to the rest of the team.
And perhaps hardest - let go of the idea that you can do it all yourself. As a team leader, you are a force multiplier. If you can make everyone on your team more productive, your team will accomplish more than you would trying to shoulder the work yourself. That doesn't mean you don't pitch in when there is a critical issue - but think of yourself as a last-ditch backup, not a firejumper who flies into every situation and rescues the day.
Good luck! I'd be happy to talk more about your specific situation if you'd like to move this to a private question!
